Hello friends!! Glad you could join me again on this very sleep deprived Monday morning...
Let's talk about how Phase 3 went over the weekend before I give you the big results! I've found that Phase 3 is the hardest for me because the meal requirements are so different at any given moment and it's a LOT of food to pack in! The highlight of the weekend was definitely Saturday breakfast which combined veggies, a dippy egg (sunny-side up), and avocado. The delicious, rich yolk combining with the creamy, cool avocado was TO DIE FOR. That made the day definitely start on a good note.
The other best part of the weekend? Finally investing in this:

Any feelings of being carb deprived were GONE when I got a bite of this. Smeared with some almond butter...holy hell. Speaking of almond butter...That definitely saved my sweet tooth this weekend. It's surely to be a new addiction even when this diet is done. I think I could say goodbye to peanut butter forever with this yummy goodness.
The final yummy treat that Phase 3, with its healthy fats, brings are these:

Sweet potato and beet chips. YUM! Exactly the "chip" snack I needed when I was bored late Saturday night. An indulgence without feeling at all guilty!! Just got slightly freaked out about 18 hours later because of the red color in the beets.... ;)
Okay, now the moment you've all been waiting for, the results:
*drum roll*
Stepped on the scale this morning.....and lost 6.4 pounds! I couldn't believe it! That's almost a pound a day! The most amazing thing is that I never once felt hungry or deprived of food (now, feeling deprived of yummy, bad for my entire body, crab dip smothered cheese fries is a whole different issue...), so I know I'm not harming my body or starving myself. I remember the first week of my first (unsuccessful trial) of Weight Watchers. I cried every single night because I was SO hungry. This is not the same at all. With that being said, I've settled in for another week and look forward to it!!
(PS - There's a St. Patty's Day 5k run in my future this Saturday and training has been less than stellar. Wish me luck (o' the Irish) and fun!!)
